KISD  Welcomes Adkins as Chief Technology Officer

Joel Adkins has been selected as the new Chief Technology Officer for KISD.  Adkins moved to Kerrville in July from Austin where he served as the Campus Technology Coordinator for Westlake High School in Eanes ISD.  With over 10 years experience in education, Adkins has taught Web Mastering, Digital Graphics and Animation, Multimedia, and Computer Applications.  In 2007 he was named Instructional Technology Specialist of the Year by the Texas Computer Educator Association.  He has also been published in the TCEA magazine "TechEdge."  Adkins graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelors of Science and is currently working on his Masters in Educational Technology through Texas State University in San Marcos.
